I see a lot of metaphors tied to actual events surrounding the times during which this song was written. Also, one must take into consideration the possibility of coded messages while this song was written by a possibly "high" artist.

this song is about sex in space with a bunch of astrology nerds that hate sex but want to do it just to say they did it in a space ship. It makes the one person there sad that they all hate sex but at the end he's like mmh…..better than doing a robot
