I think the song is all about having found the person you are meant to be, the one who can truly understand you.

You find solace in that person because with her you can be yourself even if you are scared and tired of the world constantly judging you and not measuring up to their standards, by having her you have already found the meaning to all of your struggles and even if all the rest is bad, or even if you had to walk through hell to get there, you are completely happy at the moment because you have found the one person who completes you and makes you whole.

Even then, you are accustomed to loss. So much. You know that when everything has been taken from you before, this could very well be no different, even the one that gives your life meaning can be taken away due to cruel circumstances or the interference of some other people in order to hurt you, her, or both or just because they can. You know it may not last forever because your happiness never does, but still you have her in that moment and so you treasure it, because you can make her happy too and give her your everything, because even if you are broken inside and try to put on a front for others, you are able to be yourself to her, be strong for her. The rest of the world may see you as the villain, or as weird, but she knows your true self and that is all you need... But at the same time it terrifies you because why would she stay when she could have so much more?

So you give everything and hope that is enough, and you grow, and you become better, always wishing that, this time, it might be enough, that this time she might not be taken away from you... And you hope. You hope your light remains. Because she makes you better, and you know it.

It think that is the point with the song: That you found the one that finally is able to get you to make sense of everything... And you are blessed for it.

Its extremely poetic, its almost as if a poem has been out to music. For me its a mixture between wanting to show the person you love the most in the world exactly who you are, feeling so comfortable with that one person that you don't want to cover any of your faults up. But also I feel this song is about life and the loss of it, "when everything's made to be broken", for me its talking about how preciuos every single day is becuase we don't know when it will be our last, afterall we as humans are made to be broken - no-one lives forever!

The song is about isolation and potentially unrequited love.

You know you want to be there, but knowing you are different gives you pause.

There’s a very specific culture we live in, where if you don’t fit in very specific buckets of what’s acceptable you are cast aside.

This is about someone that loves from a distance, in a non-malicious way, but knows that getting acceptance is unlikely.

To me it says, I want to show you who I am, but I don't know if I can. I want to be with you but it could kill me, I want to tell you everything but you'd never believe me if I did. I want to give everything up for you and love you. But it would mess things up so badly because of the way the world is. When your depression gets too deep and you bleed just to know your alive, he's saying his life feels like a nightmare and needs to hurt them self so that it will overwhelm the mental pain. He's spilling everything so when he does get in a bad spot and he doesn't want the world to see him she'll know why he's acting the way he is.

Idk what the meaning of this song is, but I love it. It makes me sad. Because it reminds me of someone I've lost. Its not about doping at all. Its a mixture about alll you guys said accept for doping. Its about a guy who is an invisble identity and hides himself because he is afraid that world wont understand him. He finds love in a girl. But he loses her (no she doesn't die) and just want to open himself to her cuase she the only good thing he has ever expierenced in his life. Well, when I had my girlfriend (Lorielyn), I started to like this song very much. It's a description of our love story. Sort of Romeo and Juliet or Beauty and the Beast tale. No one has ever imagined that we'd end up together. Everyone finds it hard to believe because we're total opposites. Some people even despise the feelings that we have for each other. That's why I really like the lines "And I don't want the world to see me cause I don't think that they'd understand. When everything's made to be broken, I just want you to know who I am." Awww. I love the movie "City of Angels"
The song makes me cry beacuse of that movie. The ending just makes me cry. Harder than titanic. So beautiful.
It also realates to me. I'm kind of the loner due to the fact I'm not like everyone else and have my own set of problems and I have one close friend that I'm in love with. (i have friends but this one is the one I love).
This song describes everything.

Well that's easy! This is about a person with an invisible identity who no one understands. Then, he finds true love. He wants his true love to know that he exists and that she is the only person in the world who can understand and love him - hence the last line, "I just want you to know who I am." The title means this is how I see you and me and everyone.

He just wants to hold her in his arms again, to touch her, and she feels him inside, and he feels her and in that night (illustrated in the song) he feels that girl deeply and nothing and no one could change it. The lyrics to this song really hit home for me. It really explains my relationship with my boyfriend. I want him to except me for me and vice versa. Sometimes I feel like hes the only one who gets me. We learn more and more about eachother each day. I honestly really love this song. I have for a while but after watching the sleeping with sirens cover I fell even deeper, it's my favorite song at the moment. The line that hits me the hardest every time is "When everything feels like the movies, Yeah you bleed just to know you're alive." I have several friends who struggle with depression and self-harm so to me it's not just a love song, it's a song about someone who struggles with those things and they don't want to tell the world just to be rejected and sent to therapy or rehab. Unfortunately, they're deeply in love with someone and really want that person to understand what they're going through. The begging of the song talks about how perfect the other person is but then it starts picking at its own flaws and the horrible thought that everything ends and everyone dies. It's very bittersweet in that way.

It's about smoking meth. Honestly it really is. Watch the video again and note how he bounces back and forth from the pipe shaped "telescopes"which are there to represent the meth pipe... Just listen to the chorus again with this in mind "And I don't want the world to see me, cause I don't think that they'd understand".... Also take note of "And all I can taste is this moment, And all I can breathe is your life" which is describing the sensation and taste of taking a hit and how it overloads your senses while doing as such, and it's emotionally descriptive relation of how taking a hit feels.

I get that this song connects a lot of people to a strong emotional memory from the past - or ties to something or someone they love(d) when they heard it back in the day. A memory for most I'm sure that's probably not related to drugs... and that's ok, let it be that for you if it is. ...But meth's addiction is just like a love story while high and crashing out of it. With all it's ups and downs. it's simply that powerful.
