She is most notable for her singles, "Ur So Gay", released in 2007, and the worldwide hit, "I Kissed a Girl" which in 2008 topped the Billboard Hot 100, Canadian Hot 100, the Australian ARIA Charts and has peaked at #3 on the Worldwide Charts.
