What this song means to me is that life throws you obstacles from the day you are born. It may feel that you are always put in a place where you are fighting for your survival. Even those you love or trust the most let you down. But that is no need to despair or give up. There is a deeper strength inside of you that can carry you through. It may feel like you're conquered but hold on and keep fighting your way through. You have a purpose. Just carry on. When you get to the other side, rejoice, then reach back to help others through. Some of us are proof that you can make it despite all odds. It is up to you with the help of god in how you respond and recover. Some of us are living proof. Oh what joy when you're free. Hold on til you get there because you will. I am living proof. Yes you'll have scars and many tears but just hold on. The wrongs will be made right. You is kind. You is smart. You is important.

Boy! This is one of the best songs to come from mary J. The music is divine, her vocals kick a*. She has been blessed and surely. She will win the oscar for this song! I'll bet on it. If she doesn't, then once again the academy has proved as they have in the past. That they need education and that they are a bunch of fools. The panel needs to recognize this song, it's meaning and the lung popping vocals from musical royalty. That is mary j blige!

This song is a inperatin to all people. To those who has been through is all. This song need to be heared by everyone. By lets hear what god has to say 1cor. 10: 13 "no temptation has taken you except what is common to men. But god is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it. " so there we see god is faithful and he will help us. My name is josh cheek and trust me I know me and my family live in a small town in harlan ky, me, my mom, my dad, my sister has been rised hard. But later in our life we love people who would never hurt us or do anything to put us down. Yes, we need to look over the small things and really see the people that loves us. But the one to us is jehovah and his people the witnesses.

I think that on the final verse that says I know were I'm going 'Cause I know where I've been (I'm gonna feel strong, that's showing) is really "I've gotta few scars that's showing, but I'm gonna be strong, keep growin'That's the way that I will. I could be wrong but I've listened to this song many, many times getting ready to use it with the lyrics at my Daddys memorial.

As a recovering addict who has been clean and sober from my drug of choice heroin for almost 6 years this song represents the struggle to go through the withdraw get clean and stay clean! So many addicts go right back to the life they were living hurting themselves and the people who love them and others even die! I was given an opportunity to.
