im not sure what this song is about but to me it is when you are so in love with this amazing person and then they pass away. and for the longest time you feel like you cant be with anyone else because that would feel like betraying them. but one day you grow tired of feeling like you cant do anything, so you go out and date someone new and you live your life which you weren't doing before. and you see your old lover in a dream one day and you tell them about your new life and your new date and find out that they are happy for you. you tell them that you still miss them so much and that they will always be your first love and that that's never going to change.

I'm not sure what this song is about either, but recently my relationship with a girl I loved so much had to end because her parents simply just wouldn't allow it. we would secretly go on little dates together, lay and hold each other on the hills while giving intense eye contact with comfortable silence, id kiss her everywhere and we would even hide in a bathroom stool so we can listen to music and hold each other, we even carved a heart and put up our names on the wall. further more, I went to go to her house without her parents knowing even though there are so many risks, I still did it simply because I loved her so much and I wanted to have her in my arms, we did so much in a span of 4 months and we were tied to the hip, we couldn't stop talking to each other and we even had big smiles on our faces while arguing. sadly it all had to end, it was putting such a mental strain on her knowing we would never have proper dates and do all the couple stuff we wanted to do because her parents would not allow it. we are still bestfriends and we are romantically attached to each other, we were each others first true love, and that's what really hurts, we still love each other but it has to end and its out of our control. we don't regret anything we did and we will forever hold on to the things we had. we are still so young and things could change in the future, whether we get back together or stay overly romantic best friends for now honesty time will tell but she'll always be my first love and she'll be all the good things that I miss.
