Enjoy your life and we all fail at times or stumble in our lives. The important thing is to get up and embrace life to the fullest. No regrets! My wife died last year unexpectedly and this song has inspired me so much since then to just never forget her but to also go on in my life and live with no regrets. I will meet her again someday and I will be able to tell her that I was closer to the edge and almost fell off but instead I said no! The lyric -- a birth of a song and the death of a dream to me means actually my life now is like a new song that is being written everyday as I continue on in my life and the death of a dream is the life that I lost with my wife when she died.

The line " hate 4 wheel driving fate" is the wriong line it may say that for these lyrics but the pictures I was looking up says "this never ending story paid for with pride and fait we all fall short of glory lost in our fate" I think this means he will never regret his mistakes and if he didn't make thwem then he would probly be setting better and bigger dreams for himself and everyone does have a different opinion to this song :)

I personally believe this song is saying don't forget the past, but don't live in it either. It's saying learn from your mistakes. The line "closer to the edge" simply tells how he is starting to achieve his full potential, and is getting closer to it day by day. He isn't going to apologize for the mistakes he has made, but he is hoping that he can fix them, or make amends for them.

It was one of the songs that gave me faith and power when I was totally lack of it trying to survive from a really hard breakup from a mentally abusive relationship. Helped me thru the bad days and gave me hope during the good days too. This song is so important that it's amazing how songs can really help you thru the bad times and makes you feel even better during the good times.

To me this song is about things happen in life you can't change, friends come and go and family members pass on but live your life to the fullest. Every little moment, every mistake. Every step of the way make you who are you. Never give up and never give in to despair tomorrow is always a brand new day a clean slate. The pain and negativity it always passes.

I think it at the end of a relationship, or a very defininf moment in your life, where things went wrong. And even if the end didn't do you any good or didn't favor you. You are still thankful for everything, and still have hope that things will someday go right. Maybe with the same person orn ot. Whichever way you are closer to that moment where things will go right.

Well. I think it's about searching for one-self true chatacter, what mades us, ourselves. Even when it drives you to the edge. Even when it takes you to drive your close people to their own edge. That's why it says "i'm not saying i'm sorry~ one day, maybe we'll meet again" the search is personal, and not everybody around us can understand that. But maybe, in a future, they have found themselves and can accept us for who we are. But first, we have to loose ourselves. Every inch more close to the edge.
