This song means so much to me. It means that god knows who I am and what I am and he loves me. He will never leave me nor forsake me. We god there is alsways a second chance. He never stops believing in me. He is my savior and lord and I am his child. He does things perfectly not as the world does but in his way which is love.

I love Carman's voice and how he sings with conviction and th Holy Spirit is in his voice as he sings. No, it does mean anything special hidden between the lines, it gives hope that God/Jesus is always with me. Loving me no matter how human I am. The bible says that I am perfect in His eyes, yet I have a long way to go.

In the winter of 2000, I was heading home from work, when my van started spinning on ice. I was listening to the tape of Carmen, when the song “Fear Not My Child” came on while I was spinning. It would've been a scary ordeal, but I was listening to the words the whole time, and I put my life in God's hands. The van finally came to a stop about mile back, ended up in a shallow ditch by the radio station. I collected myself, and was able to get out of the ditch with no problems and headed home. When you read the words of this song, you will understand how it helped me, during this ordeal.

It means that god knows who I am and what I am and he loves me! "he will never leave me nor forsake me" with god there is always a second chance. He never stops believing in me. He is my source for living. He is my savior and my lord and I am his child. He does things perfectly not as the world does but in his way which is love.
