More than 50 years ago I was going to a counrty school an my moither was the teacher there was a lot of snow that winter an I sent for a harmonica an it came with a music book an that tune was in the book. Them days I never cared for that tune but now it brings tears to my eyes an I think of mother teaching us kids that winter.

During WWII my mother and I lived with my grandparents. They played music using a gramaphone.
on which which we got the disc to rotate by cranking it up. My best-loved song was the sweet "Darling, I am growing old, Silver threads among the gold Shine upon my brow today, etc. Do you know if that song is on a cd or any other type of disc to play?

I started learning music (playing the piano) at age 10yrs.
One my Favorite pieces was “Silver Threads Among The Gold”. This was in my Small Woods piano Book. Now that I’m growing older and looking at my Silver Hair,
the more I Love and appreciate this song and it’s beautiful arrangement of music.
