Personal Jesus, In this song, I think stands for our visionary & trust with absolute faith. First in our own-selves and at the same time, in someone or say something very much super natural. Of which we calls "HIGHER POWER". An entity that indeed exists, since the alpha. Shall exists, 'till the omega. Of this universe. An entity that is not, never seen, but indeed, one really feels of, this "HIGHER POWER" existence, around us. Everyday, in every quantum of another unseen, rather felt, an entity called time. Everywhere-Wherever one may roam, rest / resides, works or say do the day-to-day "DEEDS" with A feeling of being responsible, an duly clear must have. Duty given by default. As he or she is born "HUMAN".
In very simple & short words. Same as this:
"BEAUTY... LIES IN THE EYES OF BEHOLDER."
And the universal laws, applicable to all of us, human beings. Of course it's a different as, one's thinking or acceptance, if you believe in it. It is indeed in fact real, but if you do not believe in it, then even gods of heaven cannot helps you! Because, as they say. Even. God helps those, who helps themselves.
That's exactly what I say, I do, I believe, I follow - with total trust & absolute faith, in myself & G.O.D.I.E. G = generator, O = operator, D = destroyer.
