Desaster is a black/thrash band formed in Koblenz, Germany in 1988. Their lyrical themes involve war, hate and satanism. They are considered influential to many black metal bands. Desaster’s history can be tracked as far back as 1988. They took their name from the Destruction song "Total Desaster".
