He is saying that he had been blinded in a way by who she really is and her lies. "the girl that you are in my eyes, yeah the girl you can't even see. Well now i'm waking up girl" he sees a different version of her then who she really is but now he is "waking up" and her eyes that glow have lost their worth, they don't captivate him any longer. And they came close but she isn't good enough and he may not feel good enough because hr can't stick around and save a girl like her?

I love this song so much! I think this song is about a relationship that is almost perfect but something is missing. That they are so close to being perfect but "not good enough" they kept the relationship going because the something missing "was never enough to notice" but in the back of his mind he knows that it wont be him that makes her happy. This feelling built up over time to the point where he feels dead inside and has to admit that they need to end their relationship.

In first verse is about looking back on the time they had, happy and sad memories but memories he treasures.
In second verse he is trying to explain that he can not keep pretending that everything is ok anymore. He is trapped (stoned) but he still loves her so he does not want to let her go.
In the chorus his feelings are mixed between the way he wants to feel (or ones felt) and the way he is feeling. He's trying to show to tell her everyday that she is everything he ever wanted and more, bit she refuses to hear him. The relaitionship he's in is dead unless she (the girl) makes the choice to listen to him.
Third verse (one girl) we meet the girl that he's trying to enlight but that just keep lying to herself and not seeing the girl he sees. "this moment" that keeps being destroyed by this girl is the highest phase of happiness and the life he sees with her, that can't happen for all the lies.
The fourth verse (maybe we've come so close), is the acceptence that he might have to face the fact that he can't ever get through to her, and even though he loves her there will allways be something missing.

At first he is always thinking about her and he can't get her out of his mind, and I think stoned means that he can't leave the situation but he also knows it can't keep going on. Hes trying to help her in the lines "one girl is destroying this moment... Contagious lies they never leave". And although he tries she wont see the person he see and she continues to lie about it. And in the "the girl" verse hes trying to wake her up to see what he sees. And they've come close to fixing it but never close enough because she wont admit he is right.
