This is based on the black queen in the movie but florence has put her spin on the life story so it was only inspired by what you think about withe her.
The stanza before the choir talk of the past and present but also one person in her perspective! She wants to find a reason to love her lover again because she feels there is something missing even if its him? Yet everything in her head tells her not to look for it.
But she believes if she touches his skin again to enlight the physical romance again he w and she will be reminded of what there missing.
She is warring between two people in her mind and old and a new.
As she thinks of one. The passion ignites and she getes the "fever"! Yet maybe its niot with who she is with now? Yet she is not listening to her heart as it calls for someone else or maybe that's just lust? Yet it makes her smile unconscuiously maybe the old does not so much any more? Yet she wants it again coz her head says so but shes beginingf to look towrdas the light at the end of the tunnel her futre.
After the choir which allows pause and passage of time and thought.
She believes she should be with the other that she has onlt talked to by text on paper as if they have never meet a woring and coming together of minds with out physical bonds!
Don't quite get the next bit! About a song ending maybe its the first relationsship? But she is begining to love again and feel special loved treasured safe wanted but its not the first that is doing it but the second and she has thought about its now and reakliseed that her eyes are opening.
Yet he is not there nmone is speaking but yet noone has yet to say a word so she ends up in her own head and listening to the silence trying to fill it.
Yet she ralises that it beats again and yet not of stone! Yet evil, evol or even love can bloom again in the act of beuing naughty being physical haveing fun and embracing passion.
She wants to embrace him in her heart but her head is standing in the way of her heart as there is complications she cannot see herself getting over yet it maybe could be anything? Like romeo and juliet! Distance, creed, age, sexual orientation, family, money, socail, old love, fear, practial or inpractical who knows and who cares? She will either be happy or not as she looks for her happy ever after yet she has to fight with herself first! That is never easy but its her decision! And we wont know unless its in an other song as a continuence of this story! Only she has said no for now when everything screams yes!

I think this song is about all the characters throughout the storyline deciding what side to be on, good or evil. The huntsmen could work for the queen but he doesn't. Snowhite could have stayed in the tower. I also think this song is about the characters leaving their past behind and their fears. Another thing these words could mean is them finding themselves and helping everyone to be reassured and know they are in good hands.

This song is definitely about the dwarves.
The heavenly light obviously refers to gold.
The choirs singing no refers to the sound of their pick axes every time the hit stone, and not gold.
They just needed one more touch, or to feel more coins in their hands.
The fourth stanza talks about mainly about how they feel, and everyone knows that dwarves love precious metals and gemstones. The emotions explored here refer to that love.

Well I think it's basically how the queen felt qbout her powers and how no one seemed to love her and that she was trying to find someone to love her but her powers sort of stopped her that's why it says "i was looking for a breath of life;
a little touch of heavenly light
but all the choirs in my head sang 'no'" I just think it's basically the queens feelings when she first got her powers because in the movie she said something about how it once pained her that she caused so much misery so this is probably explaining the first few years. I don't know. That's just my opinion.

The song is about the dark queen wanting to always be beautiful. For me this song is a battle. Fighting for something that you want to bad but everyone in there power are trying to stop you. Everything is going wrong but you still are fighting the fight to make you dreams and goals come ture.
This song speaks to people who hear music not listen to it. Hear the words move through your soul, hear them move through your heart and you will see that this song has more meaning behind it then you thought. You just have to find your meaning for it. Florence don't sing she speaks from her heart to yours. Remeber that.
