The song is like a metaphor for most bands after they hit the success peak. They get intoxicated by the fame, attention, s** and drugs; I. E. The feel good inc. Tower. Occasionally someone will wake up from the drugged up haze that is fame and realize that they made a wrong turn and don't want to be in this place. 2d represents that person. He wakes up from it and tries to wake the rest of the people up with his megaphone and makes his way to the window, sees noodle, and wishes he was free like her. De la soul represents the fame and all the things that come with it as he mocks 2d. Murdoc is one of the celebrities that is completely at home in the euphoria of fame (charlie sheen ring a bell?). After the second verse de la soul performs 2d is physically and emotionally exhausted and defeated and just gives in to the pressure and negative influence of feel good inc. The helicopters go after noodle and the slowboat (floating island's name) to drag her down to fit in with the rest of the music industry by whatever means necessary.

Feel good inc. Has a lot of meanings. The feel good inc. Tower represents that when people get very famous it tends to get to their heads and they absent-mindedly do anything. They will do drugs and make stupid decisions just because the fame has gotten to them to much. 2d doesn't want for the fame to get to him like it has to a lot of the other celebrities, so he is trying to go with noodle because she isn't going to be like that. She has inner peace and is happy with what she has. 2d wants to go with noodle because the way noodle is living is the right way. No fame going to your head and inner peace and such. Something is holding him back from getting on the floating island with noodle though. Russel doesn't like it, but he accepts his fate because it is destiny. Murdoc enjoys s* and all those partying things and such, also he is a satan worshipper, so he doesn't care and enjoys the girls. You see, celebrities sometimes have the tendencie to let the fame get to their head. 2d doesn't want that to happen to him, so he really wants to go on the floating island with noodle. Actually, if you listen to the offical commentary, 2D says this near the end;.
"The palace we built has become a prision. So that's what the video's about, y'know, being trapped by the things you make."
Noodle also says this;.
"I float past the feel good tower, and I do this as a reminder to 2D to use his strength to escape his prision, but, something is holding him back."
I'm assuming the meaning of the song is the same as the video that represents it, so I'd say it's what 2D said.

The feel good inc. Tower represents greed. 2d wants to go with noodle on her floating island which represents inner peace and she floats by the tower to remind 2d to use his strength to escape from his prison, but something is holding him back. Russel does not like it but he accepts his fate. Murdoc enjoys the company of the girls. But noodle has inner peace which is why she is on a floating island, that has been shown in a lot of anime. When de la soul raps he is saying that he doesn't stand a chance and that he will never escape. In the end, he doesn't stand a chance and returns to how he was when the video started. The helicopters also go to "kill" noodle. But, really she is still alive as you can see in the rhinestone eyes video. Your welcome for explaining all of this. :)

A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner.
