Jackson's beautiful lyrics almost always - well, always - have a second meaning for me. I found my meaning as I was driving along the riverbed last week, on the way to lovers fountain in rennes le bain, france, staring out at the pyrenees mountains to the left of me. I had come for what promised to be a second awakening for me, the next step in my spiritual, the time for me to let go of my childhood insecurities that have been holding me back for so long, and truly the time for me to step into me personal power - body, mind, and spirit, at the request of my higher self and none other than mary magdalene, who calls me "litte one. " thank you to my beloved jackson for this gift. He's always in my heart and in my soul, for sure.

Very easy. Jackson told the audience at his show in louisville, kentucky, on august 12, 2012. He was 18 and had gone to new york with some friends who continued on to europe, including "adam, " who yes, went off to india ("song for adam"). He was homesick for california and wrote this song: a child in these hills. He is, of course, referrign to the hills around the hollywood, laurel canyon area. He stayed in new york for a while, worked with the velvet underground, became nico's lover, and contributed a couple of songs to her "chelsea girl" lp.
