To me, the whole song seems depressing. I don't know if it's just me, but whenever I hear "What if I / Had one more night / For goodbye" it means "what if i die tomorrow?" Salute is one of the best albums I have ever heard. All of the songs are amazing, and amazingly catchy. This is just one of my favourites, and it is a brilliant ballad from very talented artists.

I agree with the point about the 'what if I die tomorrow? ' however I also think that it has an element of depression and suicide throughout as 'i tried to eat today' shows that they are obviously going through a tough time. Adding on to the point about death, I think it could show that they are trying to discover what would happen if they did commit suicide 'tonight' and are attempting to discover the consequences affecting the people around them if they did. I adore this song. Job well done.
