M.C. Brains (born James Davis or James de Shannon, May 24, 1974) is a rapper from Cleveland, Ohio. Michael Bivins signed Brains to Motown Records, who issued his first LP in 1992. As a crossover artist similar to MC Hammer, Brains hit the charts with three singles that year.
