While this has been the hardest year so far this song has been the heart breaker. My mom and my dad who recently passed, this was his song to her. When he passed, after all was said and done and everyone back to their homes and loved one, me and my mom danced on he front porch for hours listening to this song on replay. Today, while at work listening to my Pandora, this song, which has never been played on my phone or on my playlist, this song comes up. Its a reminder to me that my Papa is still in love with my mom, that he is still watching over the both of us. I love and miss you Papa, I will never let go or stop dancing and I will keep mom dancing for you until we are all together again.

Wow miss the man that sung this to me and played guitar. Where did you go? You where the best. Hope life is good. Wish you were back, but guess it's not meant to be. Miss you and love you. Maybe one day we will have another Harvest Moon, miss you babe.

Heard it tonight from soundtrack of "Eat Love Pray". Brought a smile to my face thinking of how you loved me then and how I love you still 5 years later. Felt like Neil Young sang it to us alone in concert. With nothing to lose I go on loving you, unrequited though it is. I can still love you in silence and in secrecy. If you do know how I feel there's nothing you can do about it. You'd never guess but she left me so I'm the man not the female as some might suspect and you may think I'm too sappy, too sensitive, etc. So what, doesn't matter, love is the answer.

I have always felt this song is sung by either a he or a she. A couple that has grown old together and has lost their partner either from death or being unable to be the person they use to be. "I want to see you dance again" is the longing of one to have what use to be. "When we were strangers" I did watch him from afar. "When we were lovers" and so it goes. Time changes everything but the love is still there even though the seasons change.

It is about falling in love. The moon grows until it is full (a harvest moon). Which is your love growing and maturing over the years. Then you are older and you want to be sure that even though you are still in love and it has matured you are still "dancing," enjoying each other and life. It is keeping the spark (thinking about it and working on it) over the years. Beautiful. N

I noticed her and was immediately attracted. I imagined being with her, and when that miracle happened, I was delighted beyond anything I had could have dreamed. We were lovers, and I loved her with all my heart. When I lost her, I had more heartache than I could have imagined.
