The voice of this song is of someone who has fallen head over heals, convinced he* has found the man/woman just right for her. This song is a expression of the narrator's love for her and excitement for having found her. It could be a promise of his assurance that she IS "the one" (and only) for him. I believe it is an ode to the woman he has fallen deeply for, not just fancying. He wants to give her his life proclaiming and professing that he will "beg, steal and borrow"– doing whatever it takes because she is worth it. She is both the means for which he feels confident enough to promise to "To give (her) sunny days/ And in a hundred ways/ I'll bring (her) love." and the reason to for his feeling he could "reach for the impossible." If it weren't for third and fourth line in the first stanza, it would seem that he and she were already deeply involved. This further emphasizes how committed he is to her, how he is ready (no matter what it takes) to make her feel as special to him and she makes him feel. This song is about much more than a man trying to chase a woman but a man who is devoted to pursuing the woman of his dreams, who he is thrilled to have found.
