This song is part of their concept album in which a former atheist girl is questioning if there is anyone or anything that is worthy of her faith. Also asking for guidance in her new faith. She has many questions that she can't answer and is "searching" for those answers. That is represented in the verses. The chorus is either jesus or other believers calling out to her telling her that she "is not alone". And that they will be there helping her grow in understanding. You really must look at the entire album to get to contexts of the individual songs.

The song to me is simple. Every leader today. Either church or state or private firm. They all seem to be self seeking and tyrant. Controlling through force and driven by evil. This is a song explaining how most people feel. Powerless. A voice is compelling the subject who is metaphorically lost at sea to try and find stability in their torrentous life and to fight on for what they believe is right. The voice is the spotlight. The problem is that the subject needs what most people want in order to believe something. Tangible proof and not a voice becuz lies are to frequent in most peoples lives. All we can have is faith sometimes. And at the end. Yeah. Flying home. Death. Of course.

I believe that this song can have many meanings, but the main one is the world having, or not having faith in god, and him coming back for us. Its telling us that there is so much that is put right in front of out faces, but it is up to us whether we wee it or not. "dont go", meaning don't turn your back on god because his arrival is just around the corner. Let everything go, and put faith in the one that is going to lead us all to our true home.

This song is a great reminder to all those struggling in their faith and life that "you are not alone, in the eye of the darkest storm." And there is God and his children "who are the lighthouse shining a lamp from the shore. To bring your journey home." the battle has been won God loves you and has already sent his son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for you all you have to do is accept him as your Lord and savior.

This song is all part of oh, sleeper's story in their concept album. In this song, she is trying to find the true faith and peace in god that she had seen in so many people but criticized for so long because all she saw in the church was hypocrisy. She's wondering how in the world she's going to grow spiritually when there are so many hypocritical "spiritual leaders" out there, but that's when the true christians show up and say "you are not alone in the eye of the darkest storm... " etc.

This song I feel represents the internal battle, a struggle, inside someone who sees the world and how it becomes and where the hell he/she fits in. The second time I heard this song I realized that the singing parts are supposed to convey someone of pure body and astounding intellect encouraging someone, the screamer, to continue on in the wake of pigs (people that are easily influenced) and answer the call that has been presented to him/her; to be the hero they have denied. Its a tough world out there but lyrics state that you are of a future flock and that by the grace of the divine you will fly. Just spread your wings and see that the battle has been won!
