Well, to me, it's about a boy, who obviously has had a bad break up with his girlfriend, and is feeling upset with himself, but also angry at her in a way. The line 'this is my confessional' says that he's ready to tell the world his side of the story, and let everyone know what this girl did to him. Another line 'you're finally getting a song about you on the radio' can suggest that this girl was only with him for the money or fame, and that now she's gone, he's ready to tell everyone about her. The two lines 'saying things you never thought, that were on my mind' does suggest that the boy lied or hid things to keep this girl interested, or that there were feelings about her that were never revealed. This song is quite sad, and should be considered as a break-up song.

This song is so amazing and emotional and I couldn't ever imagine what it would.
Be like to live without my sisters or brothers and arguments happen but not like olly murs story: simon wouldn't let him leave the x factor for one day to go to his brothers wedding or he would have to quit so olly stayed on and then ben (his brother) said he would never talk to him again and sold a story about him :( so sad.

It brightens my day and makes me realise that there is someone out there that I wright for you, to me illy is the wright one, it's like I'm standing in the crowd all alone waiting on him, I want to talk but I don't I don't have a number to call, I want olly to call me, so here goes, come see me in aberdeen I know it's a far way from essex but I want to know you olly, I love you, I really mean that .

The cheeky essex boy olly murs came second in the 2009 x-factor (series 6). Since then he has been very successful with two brilliant albums - 'olly murs and 'in case you didn't know'. He has also become a very popular artist with people.
Olly usually sings bright, cheery, lively songs so that he is able to show off his moves. But some of his songs such as: this song is about you.
'this song is about you' is about olly's brother, ben. He was meant to go to ben's wedding and be the best-man but as it was on the same week as the x-factor final, olly had to go to the dress rehearsal instead. He was hoping to be let off for a couple of hours so that he could attend the ceremony but simon cowell forced him to stay and he had to listen over the phone. Ben knows it was all cowells fault but was heartbroken because olly didn't even call or text to tell him that he couldn't make and he didn't even say congratulations.
Olly wrote 'this song is about you' to tell his brother how he felt about the situation. 'are you happy now, that you've broke me down, ' is saying that his brother has hurt him and it is asking ben if he is happy because he managed to hurt olly.
Olly murs has a great voice and this is a beautiful song to go with that voice. This song also has true meaning and the lyrics are perfect for the meaning of the song. There is nothing about this song that I don't like. In my opinion this is one of the best songs that olly has written. Olly murs is amazing!

Olly couldn't make it to his brothers (ben) wedding because of the dress rehearsal for the finals of the x-factor. Simon wouldn't let him go because it would mean missing practice time. Ben was heartbroken because olly wasn't there to be best man and he didn't even text or call to say congratulations.
It wasn't olly's fault though, it was all simon cowell!
Love you olly! You are amazing!

Me and my best mate had crushes on each other, and we used to flirt and be totally ourselfes with each other and we were so close we used to tell each other everything. And then he just left me. He doesn't even talk to me properly and I haven't done anyting wrong. He isn't there for me and I always see him I smile and he smiles ack, we were so close and in just under a week hes completely different, and I don't know what is wrong, I never did anything wrong I just miss him :(

Firstly this song is personal to mr oliver murs (sad face) "this is my confessional pen and paper im gonna write this down" and "saying things you never throught that were on my mind let the truth pour out". It is about what people above have sad. It's about when you have been with someone and they have hurt you very badly "are you happy now that you broke me down now" and " i curse the day that i met you". He also wants them to feel hurt how he felt when he left them when he says "when you hear this play u hope u feel the same way that i felt that day that you left me yeah you left me"
