Orphaned Land is an Israeli progressive metal band that formed in 1991. Its music contains Middle-Eastern and Jewish influences. In 1992, the band changed its name from the original Resurrection (not to be confused with Resurrection, a Floridian death metal band) to Orphaned Land.
