Owl City – Kamikaze lyrics

A japanese translation for kamikaze is "god wind" or "divine wind". That is the origin of the purpose of the suicidal bombers in wwii. The line, "the princess in her flower bed" is referring to eve at the beginning of the world. She "pulled the jungle underground" by eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The chorus "oh, comet come down! " is a plea for god to come back and take us home with him. The second verse refers to jesus (god). "my captain on a snowy horse is coming back to tack me home". This is talking about how jesus is going to return and takes all believers to heaven to be with him forever (revelation 19: 11 tells of the rider whose name is faithful and true (jesus) who is seen on a white horse). "he'll find me fightin' back a terrible force cuz i'm not afraid to die alone". This is adam young's prayer, if you will. He wants to fight off evil and run the good race; fight the good fight (2 timothy 4: 7). And because he trusts in jesus as his saviour and deliver, adam is not afraid of dying for his faith. As for the eagle eye reference at the end of the song, I am almost positive that it refers to revelation 4: 6-8 which tells of the four creatures with many eyes.
