This song means a lot to me I have been separated from my husband for a while now and my prayer to god is that one day he realise that there is a God, and that he will come home to us both his daughter and I. I wait upon that day cause we serve an awesome god.

I heard this song from my cousin's cellphone and it sound to me like a thunder that hit my prejudice heart. I pray to you father god to help me love those unlove just what you had modeled to us that would be a one I could show how much I love you. Thank for saving us, giving us a victorious life, overlooking our failures, and loving us unconditionally. Forgive me for being a sinner. All the glory and honor is only for you father god. In jesus name amen.

This song just caught my attention and when did listen to it I realized its more about what remains behind after am gone or the other person is gone not necessarily in marriage but in all relationship. If only you made someone know and feel God's love then every memory you shared will be filled with joy laughter and what's more comfort.

The fact is all relationships with fellow human being is short lived.

I am not sure how to love Jesus more. It sounds pretty, and certainly Christian, but can I really? All I know about Jesus comes from four books that were written in another language about 30 - 80 years after he left the earth. Do I know Jesus? Not really, any more than I know Franklin D Roosevelt who died about 60 years ago. I’ve read lots about FDR, but do I really know him? There is a lot more written about FDR than Jesus. How can I love someone that I don’t really know?

I’ve been married over 15 years. I love my wife. Can I really love a person who all I know about comes from four books, much of which are redundant more than I love my wife?

It’s illogical. Infeasible.

What this song is asking me to do is create an image in my mind about Jesus and love that image more than I love another person. This feels dangerously close to idolatry to me. At a minimum, it is totally against what Jesus himself taught. He never said, “Love me more than everyone else.” Or, if you are not a Christian, it is disconnecting from reality into a self-made fantasy.

This song has pretty words. But it is bad theology. Worse, the underlying premise is just plain kooky.

It is a privilege to be able to know another and over a long or short span of time to get to know them personally. God grants us the gift of fellowship. And I think it is great. But what is the other person left with once this relationship is broken. Our friendship may sometimes go down with it. But pointing them to the cross and to the one who loves them and will love them more than you and I did. There is more to just dating or possibly marriage than getting to know someone. Its also introducing them to know christ and the love that he has for them portrayed through our actions, speech, thoughts. Reactions. This song. Means alot to me. Maybe not only on the basis of relationship. But friendship as well. God bless! :)

Any human relationship is short lived due to lifespan limitation, and this relationship is just a gift or a privilege to bring those around us to Jesus Christ or God while we still live with them. If we ever fail to do this, in exerting a good influence to our love ones or friends before we leave ..., then that is the great apprehension of the singer. Hoping that they are influenced to love Jesus more than us before we go...For we are wonderfully made by God to love Him and serve Him and Glorify Him by loving others before it's too late. RSM
