Rascal Flatts – I Won't Let Go lyrics
It's like a storm
That cuts a path
It breaks your will
It feels like that

You think you're lost
But you're not lost on your own
You're not alone

I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
If you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I wont let go

It hurts my heart
To see you cry
I know it's dark
This part of life
Oh it finds us all
And we're too small
To stop the rain
Oh but when it rains

I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight

And I won't let you fall
Don't be afraid to fall
I'm right here to catch you
I won't let you down
It won't get you down
You're gonna make it
Yea I know you can make it

Cause I will stand by you
I will help you through
When you've done all you can do
And you can't cope
And I will dry your eyes
I will fight your fight
I will hold you tight
And I won't let go
Oh I'm gonna hold you
And I won't let go
Won't let you go
No I won't

This song is of the holy spirit that God sends to comfort his people that are lost and trust in him to ease the pain. What ever it is God is with you. And he sent his holy spirit to flow through the writer of this song. I happen to know by personal experience that God speaks through the holy spirit and through his people whom ask and do not refuse the holy spirit to speak through them. That is the only unforgivable sin, for his favored people to refuse the holy spirit. You are not to even think as to what to say. But the Holy spirit shall speak through you. God is speaking to his children. This song was written to a child but was Gods message through the Holy spirit that allowed it to be written by the writer whom wrote it because her daughter was adopted and abused and no one believed or would help because the laws and rites are taken with out cause do to an evil system we all follow but thinking it is to help the children but is the opposite. But the writer had told God to send the ho.

March 18th I lost my soul mate dan suddenly and I heard this song after leaving the hospital that day. I felt lost when it came to finding the right words to say to our 12 yr old son michael, that would comfort him. That would let him know that he's not alone and I will always be there for him no matter what. And I won't let go. I love rascal flatts and dedicated "my wish" to my son earlier this year.

In Sept of 2010 my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He past away Nov 20th. He was the greatest man I've ever known. With my parents living in California, I did a lot of traveling from Alabama to spend time with them during those few months. And was able to spend the month of Nov with him while he was on hospice. Now that I'm back home in Alabama, it kills me at times to be so far away from my mom as she grieves. Although we talk every day, I am not able to physically be there for her on those days that overwhelm her. Everytime I hear the song "I won't let go" I think of her. I told her about the song and that I think of her when I hear it. I had a cousin play it for her. She thanked me and said she cried. It does break my heart to hear her cry and I want to be there for her during this part of life. I want her to know that I will always stand by her to dry her eyes and fight her fights. This past Sunday, July 3rd, would have been their 47th wedding anniversary. It was a hard day but she knows she's not alone and is going to make it. I love you mom!

I just heard this song today and the words were perfect for me to my foster daughter. We just went to court today and she was let down pretty hard by her mother, again. She just feels defeated because she has made so many positive changes over the last 10 months, but her mother just keeps doing things to prevent her from going home. She relates to songs very much, so I want her to know that I am there for her always and I won't let her fall.

I was sitting at my computer just a few nights ago! All of a sudden I had to turn and listen to all the words of this song. I am a bi-polar lady and have been for a number of years and each and everyone word I thought you were talking and singing directly to me. I have been depressed for a while now. " I will dry your eyes", and each and every words not just one or two. I mean the entire song you were singing to me! My husband went and found the cd almost immediately. I even took the words to my doctor and he said he understood whilei you were singing to me! I also got your ringtone. Ya, ll are the Best and Thank You So Very Much! I will never forget this! I can not Thank You Enough!
I will never forget it! I want to come of your concerts now!

I heard this song for the first time just days after my son and daughter-in-law lost their baby boy. She was 24 wks and was advised it would be best if she was induced and had him thru a natural delivery. As we sat with them that night my heart just broke for them. When our kids are young we can almost always kiss the pain away. When they get older you just can't do that. The only thing we would could do was be there for them and pray for strength. This song said in so many ways how I felt for my son and daughter in law that night and the days since. It is also and excellent example of how, if we let Him, our Heavenly Father is there for us.

My 10 yo adopted Chinese grandson stood in front of me and sang this song as he stared into my heart and sang his little heart out. It was truly a gift from God. He knows that I have a progressive fatal lung disease that is now in its End Stage. He is going to have to let go of me soon, bless his heart.

All about death. Holding someone so they can let go, but you're not letting go of them in your soul. You're gonna make it - to the other side. Don't be afraid. For me it was literally holding on to my grandmother while she took her last breaths, wiping her tears, my tears, and reading to her and telling her, its ok, we are all her and are strong. I won't let go, but you can. I will catch you. I love and miss you grandmom.

A few weeks ago I heard this song for the first time. My sweet little grandaughter spends most of her time with me as I have cared for her since birth. She has spina bifida but is by the grace of God doing extremely well. As we rode in the car and listened to this song I took her little hand and said this is Nana's song to you. I love you Nicole and thank you guys for such a wonderful song that has meaning to so many people.

To me personally, this song perfectly describes what it's like when you care for a parent with dementia. This was my song to my mom during her struggle with Lewy Body dementia. I took care of her until she lost the battle. I cried every time I heard this song on the radio.

A year ago, I was sent home from the hospital, very ill. The Drs. Didn't think I would make it. I wanted to give up instead of fight. My family kept begging me to fight it. The Drs. Said I was a walking miracle. I'm still here. This song brings back all that I have went through and still going through. I'm still fighting. I love the song and want this one played at my funeral. Great job guys.
