I remember dad and his mate singing this when I was a kid. They have both died years ago. It's funny that now, after all this time, I have come to know Jesus personally as my Saviour and friend. Other friends have left. In this Me generation, so many have selfish motives. So when you find a Friend who accepts you, who has loved you before time began, Someone who never leaves you or turn His back on you when you need Him the most - well, that's an amazing Friend.
We all need a Friend like that!
