    I truly think the deep meaning of this song is the game Russian Roulette with a gun, is directly compared to a relationship with an abusive boyfriend/spouse. With the gun you take a chance if the bullet is in the chamber and its your turn to pull the "trigger". Same as an abusive relationship. Such as he says he's sorry it won't happen again, but it has before and do you take that chance "again". That "russian roulette" chance? Cuz next time you might not live through it. I've been there myself long ago age 19 with a baby, stayed 6 months and ran away to a battered women's shelter. Thank god Rihanna got out when she did.

    The meaning to this song is how the music bizz wants them to sell your soul to the devil read it closely " if you play you play for keeps" meaning if you get into all of this aint no way you gettin out. (next line) "no time to think its my time to go" its her turn to sell herself (like beoncye did) its her time to perform. "Say a prayer to yourself He says close your eyes Sometimes it helps And then I get a scary thought That he’s here means he’s never lost" whoever this person is he gets what he want all the celebs. "So many won’t get the chance to say goodbye But it’s too late too pick up the value of my life" the old her is gone but she sees nothing in her so is to late.     Think about it. "good girl gone bad" on the cover of "rated R" sees coverin on eye if you looks at oter female celebs thy do the same thing it has to mean somthing. The Lord says his people are die'n because of lack of knowledge. We need to know everything that we see is not what it seems to be raihannah is not theonly celebs worship'nn the devil and tryn to brain wash us its also ti, j-zay, beonceye, kanye, keasha cole, and more.

    I don't have a meaning to this song. But jade14 I seen the videos bout the boule and skull and bones secret society. All the celebs/entertainers have sold the souls. What she sayin is true. But hey lik she said "lack of knowledge", you don't have to believe her but its true. Go goole boule rappers or boule entertainers most of the names she put is true.     This song is great! I totally agree with mutt 244. Well it my be a bit obvious what this song is about butt ill still give my opinion :) I think that she is in a very destructive relationship and her man is pretty much killing her on the inside. All she wants is to hold on and prove to herself that she can keep on truckin and make it through another day. So she takes a chance. But she can not stop her self from thinking of things to come in this relatonship. And in the end she can't take it anymore and has to find the quickest way out. Russian roulette means game of chance.

    I personally think this song is about a relationship that she was getting in too deep because she loved the guy but then he started to change so she had to be the one to get out before its too late even if she didn't want to leave, she ad to.

    Angelbreathe ur about the dumbest person I've ever come across. It's obvious rihanna isn't writing songs for the devil that's crazy talk the song is about how you feel when ur so vulerable and scared in a relationship and emotionally it feels like life or death and in her case her realtionship went the violent route and how sometimes what you know is right isn't what ur heart makes you do. Duh Angelbreathe go read another bible!
