Rory Gallagher (pronounced "Roar-ie Gall-a-her") was an Irish blues/rock guitarist. Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland on , 1948, he grew up in Cork City. He is best known for his solo albums throughout the 1970's and 1980's, and for his tenure in the band Taste during the late 1960s.
