Rusted Root – Tree lyrics

"tree" as in the tree of life: so when the song starts out, "ever see the tree," they are talking about the tree of life as in they are singing about a spirit that is possibly seeing the tree of life or going toward the tree of life. Possibly stuck beween here and there which would tell me possibly a comatose state.
Yes the first paragraph of lyrics, to would indicate a spirit leaving the human body, but not in death, "ever feel yourself wrapped around the wind" as if your a ball of energy being pulled from your human body. "let go of your desire" indicates to just let of everything you ever desired in life, just give in to the force that is driving you the energy.
In the second paragraph of the lyrics they talk about a childs will that will be sufferded upon our death. Mean for one to go to the light, another must be born. So in order for one to be free from this life (born) the child's body has to die in the human world first (the child will be born on our death) then the spirit will be free I take it the spirit is a child spirit.
It seems as if the child spirit is running with another spirit or another spirit is protecting the child spirit.
Jumping down to "everything is so beatiful, everything is so simple now" it seems as if something is happening with the child spirit, maybe the spirit is coming to relization or the child is in a coma and is starting to wake. The colors are the colors of life of this child that are starting to wake up from his coma, the colors all weave into life, this gives way to this theory, and we move into the wind the child spirit and his protector are going back to the human body to wake.
