I feel that this song is about someone who sees someone that feels lost and unwanted. The "lost one" feels as if nothing would be done if they were to disappear forever and that life would go on like nothing ever happen. The one that is begging is someone saying to hold onto life. There is more for you if you hang in there. It may be scary and the "lost one" fears that nothing will change or things will get worse for them. Basically, it means don't give up no matter what and things will get better. There is more "life left to go" if you just hang on and see the changes that happen.
