Sara Bareilles – Breathe Again lyrics
Car is parked, bags are packed, but what kind of heart doesn't look back
At the comfortable glow from the porch, the one I will still call yours?
All those words came undone and now I'm not the only one
Facing the ghosts that decide if the fire inside still burns

All I have, all I need, he's the air I would kill to breathe
Holds my love in his hands, still I'm searching for something
Out of breath, I am left hoping someday I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again

Open up next to you and my secrets become your truth
And the distance between that was sheltering me comes in full view
Hang my head, break my heart built from all I have torn apart
And my burden to bear is a love I can't carry anymore

All I have, all I need, he's the air I would kill to breathe
Holds my love in his hands, still I'm searching for something

Out of breath, I am left hoping someday I'll breathe again

It hurts to be here
I only wanted love from you
It hurts to be here
What am I gonna do?

All I have, all I need, he's the air I would kill to breathe
Holds my love in his hands, still I'm searching
All I have, all I need, he's the air I would kill to breathe
Holds my love in his hands, still I'm searching for something
Out of breath, I am left hoping someday I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again
I'll breathe again...

Love; a bittersweet emotion that has the ability to create a world full of hope and happiness as well as completely devestate someone's life. This songs deals with the emptiness that envelops a person when suddenly apart of you has been torn away. Your left struggling, unable to cope with the pain and sorrow, and although it kills you, it is imperative that you endeavour to move on in life. I think people often misunderstand this song, yes it deals with heartbreak, yes it highlights this pain extremely well but I believe it also aspires to evoke a little bit of hope. Hope that this isn't it, that you are able to regain control over your life and move on. The hope that although we may suffer this unendurable heartbreak again and again; eventually, someday, that certain someone will waltz into your life and you will forget any sorrow you used to associate with love. And you'll finally be able to "breathe again. "

I feel as if this song means to be free again. Letting go of someone maybe tough, she feels like going back, but she has no choice because if she doesn't let go, she's gonna hurt herself even more and hurt the person she love. She's tired "and my burden to bear is a love i can't carry anymore" but she knows that whatever the guy asks of her, she would do. She loves him too much and he doesn't realize it because she only wanted love from him. In the end, she knows she has to leave.

Breathe again is a song about love, it's saying that no matter how much you may love someone, it's okay to let go, to move on, you don't have to be the same person you we're then. As we learn, we grow. It's hard to let go, to forget, but we don't create memories to let them go, we create them to cherish them. This song is about being broken, but some day all of that will change, you won't hurt anymore, you'll be free. You'll "breathe again".

To mean it means that she is sprung over her true love. And all the heartbreaking she has been through. And she put them into a song nd now she ahs finally found the one nd she is telling him how many miles will it take for her to be with him because she is really in love with him. I wrote this based on my life just to let you readers know.

She and her boyfriend/husband had a fight, and she's packed her bags and is leaving him- at least temporarily. She doesn't know if the words they exchanged can be forgiven.
She loves him so much that being apart steals her breath away, but she goes anyway. Their love is a "burden [she] can't carry anymore". Love wasn't enough to keep them together. Now, she just hopes that one day she'll move on enough to catch her breath.

They are taking so time apart frm each other to sort out some issues they might be having about how they feel about each other. For her he is her everything n not having him it is as if she cannot breathe so she needs to be with him n wants to be with him so she can breathe again or feel his love again. She continues to hope that one day they'll be able to be together again to breathe again.

My boyfriend and I just broke up. Not because we don't love each other, but because we are just finishing up our first year of university and it seems we have both changed too much. For me this song is about knowing that I would do anything to be back in his arms, but also realizing that its not the best place--no matter how safe it seems to me and that even though I love him so much, it's not good for either one of us to be with the other person any more. It's tearing me apart and I'm never sure if this is the right thing to be doing, but logically it makes sense.

This song is my life. It's about a woman who wants to be loved by this man who doesn't know the meaning of the word. That's why she is searching because she's not fulfilled by this one sided relationship. She just finally realized that the choice is hers to stay and "settle" or leave and have a chance at happiness. She does love him and is questioning herself "what kind of heart doesn't look back". Is the guilt you feel for thinking of them first. It's a beautiful song any way you take it. :)

My lover is planning to go abroad and I know it's for his future and I can't be selfish to him because I love him so much but yea it's really hard, it hurts. I want to tell him that I can't. I want him to stay but I guess i'll just wait for him. Someday. Um this isn't really the meaning of the song but I really can relate what I'm going thru now with this song.

The song means that the persona in the song is talking about how their love for each other keeps them apart. The persona seems to be having a hard time breathing-- suggesting that they need to have space. Love is not always about getting close all the time but also giving each other rooms for personal growth. Lovers should not over-smother each other because the love might just fall apart. No matter how much love is there, if one feels that something is not right anymore, what he/she can only do is to wish for that 'same feeling' again. But trying to put it together might also just put you in a situation where you realize that giving up and letting go is next in line.

This song is about the girl having doubts about the relationship that used to mean so much "my secrets become your truth" and possibly looking for someone else to be with "still searching" because the love she used to feel isn't there anymore "my burden to bear is a love I can't carry anymore." This confrontation that precedes her leaving torn the relationship apart "hang me break my heart from all I've torn apart"

She is talking about when it is time to finally walk away from a relationship that is not working. Doesn't matter how much one loves the other person, if that person hurts you and all you have are feelings and you love this person so much but you can't be with them, also for her it is the fact it was most probibly a deep, strong and long relationship that was intense and she loved this person very much but have to move on regardless - she can't be with him.

That when you love someone so much they become your entire world. They are what keeps you alive. Without them you would feel lost and empty. They are your everything. And somehow amongst it all you still find yourself on the outskirts of that love and that kills you because you can't be with the person that you love. But you know that somehow it will be alright someday and that even when things look most bleak that one person will be your shining star, guiding you back into the love that you once shared and can share again.

When you've loved someone with all you have, and you've sacrificed your happiness for their own, being by yourself or even with anyone else isn't sufficient anymore. The person that you loved is gone. And that love that kept you going for so long is also gone, but you need it and you want it back. You need it, just like you need air to breathe. And you keep coming back to them because you're not strong enough to be on your own, but that love that was once there isn't anymore. That "air" is gone. But you still want more than anything to be able to breathe it again.

The song breathe again means so much to me. Sara bareilles describes a love that is over and how she cannot help to look back. I especially love the "facing the ghosts that decide if the fire inside still burns" because the past + memories decide if her love is going to last. I would kill to have him back too, but I too hope some day that I will get over him and breathe again.
