    The Haunting’s meaning is based around a woman cheating, and being haunted by her past lover because of her guilt and sorrow. “Wear that scarlet letter”, In historical context a red letter a called a scarlet letter would be worn by someone who has committed adultery (sexual intercourse between a married person and a person who is not his or her spouse.) Cody refers to the scarlet letter to represent how the woman has cheated.There are many other lines that are proof of the woman cheating such as “No one will love you like I did, will treat you like I did.”

    We can assume that this woman is now “haunted” by her ex, as she sees other men in hopes of “filling the void” that the break up has caused. We can also assume that said women has tried to replace or forget the ex, in the very first lines it is made clear that someone is buried and hidden, though this is just figurative language meaning that the women has tries to forget him and ignore his cries.

    I think this song is about a relationship ending and the guy is obsessed with the girl. He talks about love dying and him staying on her mind and haunting her in her dreams. He tells her that nobody will treat and love her the way he did. Wearing a scarlet letter, I believe, means that she is precious and he wishes her good luck in finding someone or something better than him. During the song he repeats this. In the middle he says, how, if she finds a new guy he will spill lies to him (probably to break them up). Near the end he starts talking about the "picture perfect" guy for her. I believe he is realizing that he needs to move on and she deserves the "picture perfect" guy for both of them to be happy or satisfied. He says that, "until that day arrives" he will fill her boy with lies. "Skeletons sitting by her closet", probably means her ex-boyfriends. "No one heard my screams" might mean nobody saw how much the break up hurt him badly inside. (Anyway, I'm not 100% sure that's what this song means but its how I view the song's meaning. I hope it's how you guys view it also).

    This song is kind of a broken heart song. He loves the girl and misses her but she is over him. The "'Come on in boy' said the skeletons sitting by her closet door" part means she's done some stuff and she's looking for someone to be with other than Cody. He repeats throughout the song "Good luck finding something better". I believe he is actually wishing her good luck but in an aggressive tone. He does want her to be happy but he wants her to be happy with him. The "Love's so alive but it died in it's sleep. And now that it's dead i live in your head and i will haunt your fucking dreams" part means that their love faded away and he will stay in her head and he'll never leave her in a sense. The "I was knocked out, heels over head. So you dragged me by my feet. To a ghost town where you buried me. No wonder no one heard my screams" part means that she knocked him off guard by breaking his heart and she buried the past and feelings deep inside her so she sees him as nothing but another person. This song is aggressive but is sweet and gentle in a sense.

    She cheats on the guy singing the song, and he catches them in the act, and now he hates her and feels nothing but malice for her. And he basically says to her as he breaks up with her and depart: “no one will love you like I did, will touch you like I did; so good luck on finding someone better”. Basically low key implying she may never find a guy like him that will be able to fill his shoes.

    So I know that throughout the song he references the Scarlet Letter, which is about adultery, so I think that yes, he is saying that he cheated on her. But, I also interpret this as the abuser's point of view in a toxic relationship, and he's trying to get her to stay so he can continue to manipulate her. Maybe she wasn't actually cheating on him, she was just hanging out with a guy friend, and he was attempting to brand that as him cheating on him. He insists that he's the best that she's ever going to have, but it seems like he's only doing that in order to get her to stay with him. This isn't obvious just looking at the lyrics, but when listening to the actual song, it starts to give off that vibe.

    This song obviously is talking about a girl who kills any guy that she meets. The song says that the first guy came to her house to skeletons which he thought nothing of before she knocked him out over the head with a shovel and buries his dead body somewhere. She also goes and kills another man with a gun and also sets some other dude on fire, too. The song is technically saying that all three of the men that she killed are now teaming up in the afterlife to make her life miserable by scaring the shit out of her by haunting her as spirits. I know this might sound kinda stupid, but this is what I took from the song. Plus, I think the thought of dead people getting revenge from beyond the grave is pretty badass, too.

    I believe the song is about a depressed guy trying to deal with a recent break up that left him misserable but he knows she will always think of him and some part of her missing him I think she left cuz he was stuck in the past living as a child because he hurt somebody close to him or they hurt him after the break up he does everything to get her back and makes a song saying he is sorry for hurting her and they are each other's duality he eventually gets over her but finds out about a story she has been telling everyone portraying him as the bad guy when she goes missing or something he realizes he needs to let her go and stop worrying years later he bumps into her not knowing who she is but still feeling like he's seen her before and calls her miss mysterious years later the painful memories drive him to suicide and he haunts her and regrets not moving on like she did. But that's my interpretation of the duality album my favorite song from it is either duality or the haunting.

    I know that in the song that she cheated on him, is if you read the book or know of “The Scarlet Letter”, which he kept referencing in the song, is the main character Hester, she cheated on her husband with another man that lived in the same colony as her (despite her believing her husband was long dead), and as punishment for cheating and infidelity back then in the 1600s, you were to wear a red-colored or scarlet letter “A” pinned to the front of your clothing everyday for the rest of your life so people will know of the sin you committed. So it was obvious when he referenced and said: “Go on and wear that scarlet letter”, that she cheated on him and was enraged and deeply hurt, and I believe in the middle of the song, I think it kinda implies that he walked in on the them “doing it” a little before and right up to where he said “lover turned enemy”.
