Shane & Shane – Embracing Accusation lyrics
The father of lies
Coming to steal
Kill and destroy
All my hopes of being good enough
I hear him saying cursed are the ones
Who can't abide
He's right

Alleluia he's right!

The devil is preaching
The song of the redeemed
That I am cursed and gone astray
I cannot gain salvation
Embracing accusation

Could the father of lies
Be telling the truth
Of God to me tonight?
If the penalty of sin is death
Then death is mine
I hear him saying cursed are the ones
Who can't abide
He's right
Alleluia he's right!

Oh the devil's singing over me
An age old song
That I am cursed and gone astray
Singing the first verse so conveniently over me
He's forgotten the refrain
Jesus saves!

He redeemed us from the curse of the law (repeat to end)

This song is saying how we can not gain salvation on our own. The devil is trying to convince us that we are still unworthy, even though the lord has already told us we are, and even after jesus paid the price for our sins. We have already been forgiven, but the devil wants us to be unhappy and fall astray away from our father, so he's trying to take the truth we already know about how we're all unfaithful time and time again and use that to turn on our creator. We can only gain salvation through our god. Like the last line of the song, jesus saves! He saved us all from the real end means we deserved. Praise him!

So oftenly the devil reminds us of our faults. Many times he is in fact spot on. But like the song says, the refrain is disregarded. The whole song is skewed! Cause when jesus is placed into the picture, the devils argument is lost. Because christ has already won. Christ gives hope. Christ gives purpose. Christ gives us life! Jesus saves.
Without this refrain, the devil would be right. We would be lost. And we would be dead. But praise god that isn't the whole story!
Eph 2: 1-10 is every christian's biography. Jesus saves. Hallelujah jesus saves!

This song shows what we truly deserve, because we are all unworthy of salvation. In the song the devil is speaking of how our flesh is in sin, and what we truly deserve, but because of god's mercy and jesus' sacrifice we are all saved! We deserved those things, but we have recieved salvation and forgiveness. The devil is trying to convince us that all of these things are still true, but they're not because we have been given eternal life from our father :)

This song really shows how much satan is capable of having power over us. Satan knows everything about the bible, inside and out. We are weak and prone to sin, and satan knows our weaknesses. We are easily influenced and we tend to fall into the depths of our own sins. There are constant struggles and battles between the former self, satan, and sin. Even through the mist of this hopelessness, there is hope. There is hope because of the grace of god. He has shown mercy over us, and his love is able to win over anything. God has sent his one and only son to the world, out of his love, and his son jesus, loved the sinners and saved us from the destination that was to be ours (hell). Now anyone can enter the kingdom of god, if they believe in the father, son, and the holy spirit. Satan has no power over us anymore because our god is with us.

The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (‭I Corinthians‬ ‭15‬:‭56-57‬ NKJV) This just popped up as the daily verse after I heard the song today for the first time. God is truly almighty. Let us praise Him for redeeming us from the curse of the Law! Thank you, God.
