Snow Patrol – Run lyrics
I'll sing it one last time for you
Then we really have to go
You've been the only thing that's right
In all I've done

And I can barely look at you
But every single time I do
I know we'll make it anywhere
Away from here

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

Louder louder
And we'll run for our lives
I can hardly speak I understand
Why you can't raise your voice to say

Slower slower
We don't have time for that
All I want is to find an easier way
To get out of our little heads

Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

Light up, light up
As if you have a choice
Even if you cannot hear my voice
I'll be right beside you dear

I somehow think its about two person who were united by true love, yet have to be separated by fate.
Both of them could probably have some straightening to do with their own personal lives. And they're somehow afraid to take the chances of being far from each other. The ego of the other person might probably been telling her that it might not work out. And so on.
Well its just a comment. It could be wrong right?

This song always makes me cry. Not in a bad way, it just reminds me of seeing my child for the first time and holding her in my arms. Having to say goodbye to her was the hardest, but best decision, I have ever done. She is the greatest gift I could give to this world and to the wonderful couple that is raising her (open adoption). Even if you cannot hear my voice I'll be right beside you dear.

Lovers so very much in love, but, cannot be together because of circumstances in their lives. It was the story of my life in 2004 when I came across this song and it resonated with me and with what was going on between my lover and me - we were in different stages of our lives - a 21 year age difference, that is. Interestingly, he called two weeks ago [7 years later] and would like for us to pick-up where we left off. :)

My mom has a kidney disease and my dad said this song reminds him of her and every time I hear it I ball my eyes out I'm 11 years old and I always will cherish this song and my family, my mom is having a kidney transplant, and I just think this song resembles her and my dad the part that makes me cry the most is when he says "to think I might not see those eyes makes it so hard not to cry".
So this song brings tears to my eyes, before my dad said that to my mom I used to love this song but now I cry every time I listen to it and can barely bring myself to listen to it but now I'm in a singing competition and I'm going to sing that song in dedication to her just to show her how much she means to me.

Yes, I was in a coma for 3 days, I had a rare reaction to trazadone an old antidepressant used for sleep. As my husband sat by my bedside this song came to his mind. When I got home he played this for me and we both cried deep tears for what almost happened. It helped him ex-pain his fear in losing me. And I also lost my father he was 33, my sister who was 18, my brother at 23 and then my sister at 40. Saying goodbye when you don’t know the outcome helped me to break through this fear. Such a poignant part in my healing…..by expression…
