It's about a long and intense friendship that turned into a relationship. Two persons that had their heart broken from the beginning of their socialisation and therefore never stood a chance in this modern illusional perfect emotional society. All they ever wanted is to be truly loved, even with their dark past and broken personality. When they met each other beyond their friendship he wasn't able to break their friendish habits, because he was afraid of losing their already priceless friendship and so he didn't let his romantic feelings get to him which predestined their new born romantic relationship to fail. Both broken hearted, he just realises the intensity of his true romantic feelings and his absolute dedication which was drowned in fear of becoming completely unprotected and broken all over again in a too intense relationship which makes him fight for it like a hopeless and outrageously scared lion. While she already gives into a new opportunity which compensates and makes her feel desired and loved again - just to ease the pain and disappointment of the great hopes of their seemingly failed relationship. The cold war of burning love seems to be lost, because she praises and fancies her new born "fallen-in-love-relationship" unconsciously knowing that all she is doing is a lie to protect her from the pain of a completely shattered heart. Coming to mind, that the only person who made the perfect key to her dark heart rejected her with uncertainty of developing romantic feelings towards her. While all which is coming to his mind is: go far, far away from her to let her at least enjoy her happiness, suppressing the friendly and romantic relationship to grow stronger, to try to forget about everything shattered in the past and hold on to the thought of a new start - inevitably worrying for the other person to emotionally die along the way of recovery.
