What's the story behind the song? Where do the lyrics come from?
Olly: "I had wrote it at two different stages in my life. It's about being in a relationship with someone and how that can feel really intoxicating, but that can be really addictive and you can feel like a king. You know it has to end and you feel it's going bad, but you don't feel strong enough to end it yourself. You want the other person to end it. That's what I felt like I was going through over the period of a year, and then towards the end, I wrote the song."

Definitely about addiction. Several references to 'lines'. The drug is the controller. Under it he was a King i.e. strong, invincible. But he doesn't want to compromise anymore just to 'feel another high'. He wants to feel like it's 'let him go' yet in the video it won't. The controller's, dressed in white, are pulling him creating spasms, withdrawal effects on his body. His house is empty and he ends up on the street and eventually almost drowning but he pulls himself out. Yet he is still alone at the end, where does he go from here? The lyrics combined with the video explain it all. Great song and video, love it :).

Sounds like its about a coke addiction. "Don't you remember how I like, being on the line?" He said relationship to someone that was intoxicating in the interview. He could be indirectly eluding to a drug addiction.

The band say it's a song about a controlling relationship. But I think they may have wrote it to describe legal highs and there negative effects. There has been a lot of media attention about drugs that can be bought legally yet can do a lot of damage and even death. They are said to make you feel great but take control of your mind (king under your control) and are very hard to let go of. In the video we see the struggle to regain control. Is it worth the price?
