I would be hard pressed to describe how this song fills me with the Spirit so beautifully. I do have questions arise every day and one my whole life as an active LDS woman is wondering how Joseph Smith felt about plural marriage and when the lyrics sing 'I'll have faith like Brother Joseph' the Spirit is undenialbly strong here for me and I feel the message that there are hard questions but it will be alright. I would love to have strength as the pioneers and this makes me feel like my grandmothers are with me and showed me how to live life, a life that was hard for them. They struggled with marriage, divorce, illnesses like cancer and alzheimers, they struggled with their testimonies too. They were wonderful pioneer women who built a path for their family out of love for their kids and grandkids, they worked hard every day and I'm so grateful for this. I'm also very partial to the song Armies of Helamen and my entire life the stripling warriors were my heros, this line, not surprisingly, makes my heart swell with determination and power to be brave as they were and persevere like Nephi did. Saying I love this song is an understatement, I'm playing it daily (with our kids singing along) and am reminded of everything good, clean, pure and true about God and Christ and the Spirit.
