This song is just really beautifully written and played. Someone's having trouble letting someone special go, perhaps hurting on the inside too. He can't forget her, and knows that she can't forget him either, but so much drama has made it seem like they're not best friends "forever" anymore, but best friends for never- the type of friend who can't just be dropped without regret. Even though they're better not being friends, life just wouldn't be "right" without one being the other person's life. Even with so much of what's already went on.
