My grandmother and the rest of my family every year, ausgust long weekend used to sit around a camp fire drinking and playing guitar, her father died when she was fourteen and this song was one she sang, not all the time, but when she felt like reaching out to her dad. About a month ago my grandmother passed away, and now whe ni hear this song, or think about it, I think about my grandma and try to inagine her voice singing it again. And not kitty wells.
