To me, this is about how all over the globe, people are counting the minutes on the clock till the end of the world. Armageddon, the rapture, gehenna, global warming or nuclear war, it looks like this is it for us. For me that's the world counting loudly to ten. "Everyone waits for the light" to me means that people are waiting for love to return to the world. "Be afraid, don't be afraid" seems to refer to the messages in the media - we need confidence in the economy, everything is ok. We need to fight this villain, be afraid cos they'll hurt us.
But there is hope, symbolised by the sun rising. The mournful tones of the chorus reflect the incredible hardship of our world, but our suffering is to come to an end and we will heal - the last "here comes the Sun" in the chorus sounds hopeful. "And it will never fall from the sky" to me means that once we unite as the human race, we will overcome the things that lead to our suffering - division, power and greed, which are obsolete.
The Sun shining out of a person, for me, reflects the passion to fight for what's right and to make a difference. For me, I like peace, so I feel the violent sections of the verses are saying that the person is capable of defending theirself if necessary, and will overcome any enemy or obstacle to ensure the sun will rise.
