I believe that the song speaks of someone who loved someone so deeply and they were given so much pain. The only one who understood was God, who helped them to endure the pain. The one who hurt, abused
and probably eventually left them is being told about it but the person realizes that the scorner really doesn't care....they just don't want to know.
