To me this is a song about acceptance and questioning. It was originally written from Justin to a girl who he betrayed and his hope that she is ok. See interview with Justin about his interpretation of the meaning. Obviously, his meaning is far more accurate than any of us.
The first video of this song focuses on a man who is blind and his near disbelief that who could accept him for who he is. I can relate. I am lucky to have a husband who unquestioningly loves me, but every day I question it to a degree - "I can't believe you actually picked me..."
