The only reason this song is so popular is becouse of the millions of girls out there whi feel the exact same way. It's pretty obvious what this song is about, the whole "you belong with me" thing is about a girl who pines over a guy that's so close yet so far away. She basicly can't have him yet she still obsesses over him. I can't help but feel that this song is somewhat anti-feminist. I don't know. Just a gut feeling. I've heard a song that's creepily similar to this one: "Girl Next Door" by Saving Jane. When I first heard "you belong with me" I couldn't help but think "plagarism!".
By the way. Am I the only person who commented on this using correct grammar?
