I think in a round about way she is speaking for all women whom have been walked out on and abandoned in more than just the literal sense of the word, (i. E. Physical, mental, emotional, etc.) and how some of us have used our sexuality in order to feel wanted or whole. I think some of us, [women] weren't fortunate enough to grow up with a father that let us know that we were their little princess, and that our bodies are temples, and that we didn't need a man to validate us as women. I think the 1st verse she is talking about a woman smothering a man and clinging to him out of fear of him leaving. I think the 2nd verse is almost that of a prostitutes perspective on that particuler lifestyle and how she may have gotten to that point in her life.
