But does that mean I have to meet your father?
When we are older you'll understand what I meant when I said no
I don't think life is quite that simple " this is pretty much saying that it's hard to prove you love someone, and small things like meeting family for example don't prove love. It takes much more. And when it is genuine love, the feeling that it gives you is one that cannot be duplicated by any other means, so its hard to let it go.
