I believe this song is about the effects on others when someone you love commits suicide."You locked yourself in the bathroom Lying on the floor when I break through I pull you in to feel your heartbeat Can you hear me screaming "please don't leave me" Its saying she locked herself in the bedroom and he found her on the floor and he held her to him knowing she had committed suicide and called the hospital to try to save her hoping that there is some way she will still be there for him. "The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of" I believe this line is talking about how she felt about herself saying her demons are taking over and she is too chaotic and dark- which is a feeling a lot of depressed people have. Often they mention their inner demons. Overall I believe this song is about the outside perspective after someone has committed suicide. Suicide usually has this kind of effect on others- whenever someone ends their life there are many people who just want them to stay with them and miss them- but they all know that they cant do anything they are just hoping that some way in heaven she/he is still alive and with them but internally they know that she/he is dead and its their fault which constantly drives them into depression themselves- causing a vicious cyle of Death and Heartbreak.
