I take it to mean that yeah, she's telling either him or herself to stop acting mechanically, controlled or under the influence of others. He/she isn't thinking for His/herself, and is just performing the actions expected of them.
She also means, I think, that he/she is not a machine, has feelings, and he/she isn't, as Sarcasm said, perfect. He/she has flaws because he/she is human, but is lovable and needs someone to help look out for them.
