This song is about the lead singers son who when born, was not very well and in hospital "you've got wires, going in, you've got wires, coming out of your skin" and "ive got tears that are scared of the facts"-his son might die.
"running down corridors, through automatic doors" (hospital doors) and "i see hope is here, in a plastic box"
but in the end his son was alright and survived; "looking at you now, you would never know"
