The song is based on Numbers 6:24 the Levitical blessing given to Moses from God. It is a beautiful song. The wording, depending on bible version is, "The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." It is a beautiful song. Note the complex drumming on some versions where even Chris helps out with percussion. Also note how Jeffrey has headphones at the start to keep time as the guitar part is so slow with little reference for time keeping from other instruments for the first few bars. We play mostly our own material but this song is special to me and I love to get lost in the music and praise when I play this. The chords for the start are F(or F2), C, G, Gsus4, Am - for Gsus4 just use your spare finger to fret the C note above the finger you already have on the A string - it just adds a little mood to the chord progression. The rest of the melody is easy, but the skill is in the timing and the tone. Love Jay - guitarist Superfluity.
