The first two lines acknowledged that the presence of God is everywhere.He is Omni -Present. The writer wants to convey that someone who really loves the Lord , will long to know Him more and wanted to be in His presence. " I want to you, I want to hear your voice," is Like what Apostle Paul says in John 10, that the true sheep knows the voice of his Master. They hear His voice and follow Him." I want to touch you, I want to see your face, " this lines struck me for this is really my heart's desire that at the end of the day, I want to see my Master's face. Like the second stanza, our highest goal should not be base on earthy things but beyond that we might receive the prize and this to be in His presence eternally. Day by day, we should long more of His presence,more of His holiness for us to hear His voice, touch him and to see Him face to face.
