This song is the song that keeps popping up in my head when I see all the "celebrities" dealing with the paparazzi. It is a good summary of one of the prices of fame. It also hints about the unnatural interest in "celebrities" and the weird desire (sometimes taken to the extreme) to view the "celebrity" as a friend or an intimate. It reminds me of the exaggerated displays of grief by people who never met said celebrity when that actor/singer/etc. Dies. It is that "real relation" they seek (but ignore in their own life) when they busy themselves putting celebrities on pedestals and building altars to that "deity".
Ps--littleblonde05 is talking about the Rush song "Freewill".
